I received a call from a woman claiming to be from Microsoft, situated in Reading. She instructed me to hit Ctrl and R to retrieve my computer's licence number. However, when I mentioned that her call felt rather dubious, she took offence.

They said they were from Microsoft but didn’t really prove they had any info on me. They somehow had my address and asked me to hit Ctrl and R to get some kind of licence number for my computer. Then they called back, but this time from another number that was international and the call quality was way better.
