Loads of calls coming from numbers saying Glasgow lately. Usually, I just let it go to voicemail or answer but stay silent. If someone actually talks, I lose my temper and shout awful things at them. They're the worst! Just what I need, more hassle in my life. Absolutely vile!

It’s really freaky because I was in a crash recently and somehow they already had the date! Then they tried to check my bank info, but I told her no way unless she turns up and convinces me in person. No chance of giving anything over the phone.

Got a call on my mobile from 0141 769 0250. The caller claimed I’d been in an accident and said they were ringing from O2 about insurance stuff. I told them straight away I’d had no accident and that it sounded like a scam. I asked where they got my number but she didn’t reply. I warned her if they phoned again I’d report them. She just said fine, she’d make a note of that on my file. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call claiming I was involved in an accident sometime in the past year and a half, but when I asked for specifics on when and where, they were totally vague. When I questioned how they even got my number, they just said they couldn’t share that because of data protection rules! I warned them I’d be reporting to the TPS, and then they just cut me off. Proper dodgy behaviour.

I had a look on a different website and found that a lot of folks have reported these calls as definite scams. They seem to be trying to con you into making a claim about an accident you might not even be aware of. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Apparently the firm in question goes by the name of Autoassist. They seem to be dealing with accident claims but rely on outdated databases. I found myself abruptly cut off during the call, and I must say, the representative's manner was rather discourteous.
