Got a call from someone saying they were from Auto Assist, talking about a supposed accident I had years ago. Thing is, I never had any accident like that. I checked out Auto Assist’s site and they definitely don’t do cold calls. Feels a bit dodgy to me.

I've been getting calls from the numbers 0141 769 0211 and a few others like 0224, 0232, and 0233. Normally I just ignore them as no one leaves a message. After checking online though, seems like they’re all about car insurance claims. I did pick up once, and it was definitely about some car accident that I had no part in.

Watch out if you get calls from numbers starting with 0141 769 xxxx. I usually get about two or three of them each month. Just now, I got one from 0141 768 0232. Even though the prefix suggests Glasgow, I don't think they're really from there - sounds more like India to me because the callers often speak with an Indian accent. These calls are dodgy and definitely best to block straight away!

Got a call from this call centre bloke with a thick accent. He had my name and where I live, but couldn’t tell me what car I drive. He started asking about when my accident happened, who was with me in the car and if I got any medical treatment.
