In just three days, I’ve had a number similar to this one ring me more than 10 times. The only thing changing is the final digit. It’s honestly so annoying!

Got the typical line again about some car crash that wasn’t even my fault. They keep calling me from loads of numbers all beginning with 0141 769, I’d say at least fifteen times since before August and it’s definitely ramped up this last week. Funny how the UK Government can spend ages snooping on our emails, calls and texts under the Snooper’s Charter, but when it comes to stopping these phone scam artists from constantly hassling people, they seem totally useless and helpless.

Got a call from someone saying they were with an insurance company about a car crash. They started chatting about helping get back money for uninsured damages. Since I haven't had any accidents, they then suggested maybe it was someone else living with me. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call on my mobile the other day about some car crash I supposedly had (which I definitely didn't!). I'm curious how on earth they got hold of my digits in the first place and if there's any way to stop this nonsense beyond just blocking each number as it pops up. I've had several calls like this now. The person on the line was fairly polite but kept mentioning some official government agency that tracks accident reports.

I got a call from someone claiming I was involved in a car accident, which apparently wasn’t my fault. When I asked for the date and location since I’ve already had a couple of accidents lately, I also asked how much compensation I’d get, but the call just ended abruptly. Then “Linda,” who spoke with an Indian accent, rang me back saying the call was dropped. I told her to just sort out the paperwork and send the payment once it’s all sorted. But when I asked for any extra info, especially since I don’t even drive, she disconnected on me again. No sign of “Linda” since then.
