Got another ring from 01417690015, some “A.M. UK” lot, claimin’ I had an accident. Told ’em I didn’t and asked nicely to take me off their list, but nope, still gettin’ calls. Sometimes it’s a number that’s almost the same. It happens nearly every day, sometimes they ring me more than once! Proper annoying, feels like harrassment at this point!

They rang up claiming I was due some money from an insurance payout for a car accident I supposedly had within the past few months. Usually, I’d just cut the call, but this time I asked her which car she was talking about and which insurance firm I supposedly had. She just ended the call on me. Honestly, getting fed up with constantly blocking these dodgy numbers.

I’ve been inundated by these pesky chaps claiming to represent a so-called organisation named Motor Assist UK, which, to my knowledge, doesn’t even exist! The phone number they used was 0141 7690015. When I pressed them for more information, they hesitated to reveal their identity. I requested their office number, and they provided me with 013135690020, which has far too many digits for my liking. They alleged they were calling from Edinburgh, yet my caller ID showed a Glasgow number. Absolutely dodgy behaviour, if you ask me!

SCAM ALERT!!! They rang asking about a car accident I've never been in. If you want, drag the call out by telling them you’ve been hurt in a crash. Then say you actually had two accidents and ask which one they're talking about. Tell them to wait a minute while you get info. Make yourself a cuppa while you’re at it. I got a call from a nice bloke claiming his grandma was ill over in Nigeria. He mentioned something about black lives matter and asked if I’d be willing to help. Feeling sorry, I gave him my bank info to send some money. He seemed proper thankful at the time. Later, me grandson had a word with me, saying it might be dodgy since they’ve taken more dosh than promised. I’ll give him a ring again once Gogglebox finishes.
