I kept telling whoever answered that we don’t handle our energy bills ourselves, as another firm takes care of that for us. They kept going on about our contract finishing soon, but today they switched it up, claiming to be from UK Utilities working alongside E-on. Honestly, it reeks of a scam and pure spam. The person on the other end asked for me by name, which immediately made me suspicious. It all felt like a scam or some kind of junk call. I didn’t let the bloke get much further before I cut in, pretty angry and telling him straight up that there was no way he’d be getting my bank details. I then ended the call. Later today, I tried ringing the number back and got a recorded message saying I’d reached the sales team of something called Netcalco or similar. The message also said to call 0872 0855080 for technical support, but that number was out of service.
