We've made it very clear to them that we're not involved with energy matters since we've got a company handling it all for us. They keep bringing up the expiration of our contract, but today they shifted their story, claiming to be UK Utilities acting on behalf of E-on. Whatever the case, it’s nothing but a scam and a nuisance. The number was unrecognised, and the voice on the other end knew my name, which raised immediate red flags for me. It felt distinctly like one of those dodgy scams that are doing the rounds. I didn’t let him finish his spiel, and I snapped back rather rudely, making it clear that he’d never get any banking information from me. After that, I promptly hung up. Curiosity got the better of me today, so I tried calling the number back. Instead of a person, I was met with a pre-recorded message that seemed to promote something called Netcalco. It suggested that any technical complaints should be directed to a number, 0872 0855080, which, wouldn’t you know, is currently out of service.
