A chap with an Asian voice just rang me up, and he had the cheek to know both my name and address! He claimed my washing machine's warranty was on the verge of expiring, and then he wanted me to assure him that the appliance was still functioning properly. Next thing I know, he’s trying to push me into upgrading my cover to something more extravagant! I told him that I usually get a reminder letter from the company when my cover is about to lapse, and there's absolutely no way I’d commit to anything over the phone! At that point, I had enough and ended the call. I’ve since checked my records, and it turns out my renewal isn’t due until the 22nd of May 2020!

The phone rang, so I picked it up, only for the caller to promptly disconnect. Quite peculiar, isn't it?

A gentleman with an Asian accent rang me earlier, and to my surprise, he already had my name and address. He mentioned that my washing machine's warranty was nearing its expiry date. When I told him that I didn't have any such warranty, he inquired if I’d be interested in obtaining one. I politely declined his offer and ended the call.
