Someone rang me saying they were from the warranty service for my washing machine. The name they gave sounded dodgy, so I reckoned it was probably a scam. It’s pretty frustrating how they manage to get hold of phone numbers and addresses like that.

Someone called me by name, saying my Sky gear’s warranty was about to run out and they could sort it if I handed over my banking info. The funny part is, I’ve never even had Sky and I’m not interested at all!
