Got two calls on my mobile, one on Monday and another today. Picked up on Monday but they just went quiet and hung up. Didn’t pick up today but after looking them up I’ve blocked the number. Would be good if the authorities took action against these dodgy groups.

I missed a call from a Glasgow number and since I have family there I called back, but it just didn’t ring. I don’t usually call back unknown numbers. I looked at my phone and thankfully no extra charges appeared. I just wish the government could do something about these calls, but they keep switching numbers using computers. Hopefully one day they’ll catch a nasty virus instead of spreading them around.

I picked up the phone and a guy with a Pakistani accent asked if I was xxx xxx. I just replied with "Who’s this?" Then he quickly mentioned something about me being in an accident, which I hadn’t a clue about, so I asked him what accident he meant, twice actually. He just chuckled and then ended the call. I also noticed a missed call from 0141 739 9928, likely the same lot. Both numbers are blocked now ☺

This bloke called claiming to be from Claims Direct or something, but his strong Indian accent made it impossible to get what he was going on about. He was going on about an accident from last year and some kind of liability thing. When I told him the number was registered with TPS, he just said they couldn’t remove me because of the liability insurance or whatever. Then when I told him I didn’t drive last year, he said I could’ve been a passenger. Had to laugh, what a load of rubbish - definitely a dodgy scam.

Someone rang me saying they were from claims direct about a car accident i supposedly had last year - ive never had an accident! The more i questioned them, the more annoyed they sounded. When i asked for a manager, they said they were one. Totally a scam trying to get your info to steal cash. Dont share anything. Just block the number. If you fancy messing with scammers and know how to handle them, hang up and block straight away.

Then they ring me again this afternoon sayin I was in an accident sometime in the past 2 years and they said I could claim at least £2500 compensation. When I asked for details like when or how they knew, they were clueless (which is true, I’ve had no accidents). Just blocked their number after that.
