Got a call from a young bloke who said he was with Claims Direct. He was talking about an accident I supposedly had. I told him I was actually downtown and a bus crashed into my car. Then he asked if I’d told my insurance. I replied, "No, I'm dead." After that, he said he’d call me back from a different number. Pretty sure he clocked it was a joke by then. Still waiting on that callback!

Got a call on my mobile from a young bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from Claims Direct (those annoying claim companies!). Told him to piss off and hung up. I've blocked the number now. Seems like this 'company' uses loads of different numbers to call.

Right dodgy bloke pretending to be from "claims direct UK". Played along for a while but then he just cut me off. Really creeps me out how they have your name and number already - I’m super careful about sharing my info. This is the third time they've called me in about a month, always from bits of 0141 739 xxxx numbers.

I picked up and then quickly hung up once I saw it was some call centre. The bloke rang me straight back and was pretty rude about me hanging up, saying he'd keep ringing. And true to his word, he did - kept canceling the calls, then blocked the number. Sorted! ;-)

Got a call from someone claiming they got my details from MIB and some other government body. They said MIB gave them my number about a car accident I supposedly had, but I've never been in one!

Got a call from some Indian call centre saying they had info from my insurance firm. Definitely a scam.

He said it was about a direct motor accident claim. When I asked under GDPR rules where they’d got my number, he just said ‘we’re not bound by that, we’re calling from Glasgow’ but he didn’t sound Glaswegian at all. I called him out on it and he started getting really rude. So I just ended the call.

Some bloke said he was from ‘Claims Direct’ about some crash I supposedly had last year. Proper heavy Indian accent and you could hear loads of background buzzing like a call centre. When I asked for the exact date of the accident, he got all shirty with me. I kept pressing for the date and he just told me to ‘think it over’ and he’d ring me back tomorrow 😂😂😂😂 Number’s blocked now. Absolute scammers.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent, asked for me by name, with loads of chatter from a call centre in the background. Said it was about an accident I supposedly had. I told them to get lost and ended the call. Weirdly, I got less of these calls during lockdown but now they’re back. Has India eased their quarantine rules or something?

Got a call about 20 mins ago, around 14:22 on the 29th of May. Didn’t recognise the number. Most Glasgow numbers usually begin with a 5 or something after the area code. Seeing it start with a 7, I just knew it was dodgy.

this woman rang me up saying she was aware my life insurance needed reviewing. she couldnt say who my insurance was with, or why it needed renewing, or any deadlines. when i told her i dont even have life insurance, she got all rude and sarcastic then just cut me off.
