THIS NUMBER RANG ME AND WHEN I PICKED UP A GUY ASKED TO SPEAK DIRECTLY TO ME. HE CLAIMED I HAD ROOF INSULATION FITTED AROUND FIVE YEARS AGO, WHICH I DENIED. Got a call from 0141 737 0898 two mornings running. The bloke asked for me by name and said he was "Sammy" from "Energy Solutions". The number's bogus, doesn’t actually exist. I told him I wasn’t interested and to stop calling. But he rang again less than an hour later, this time saying he was "Mikey" from Energy Solutions, with a different fake number, 0141 737 0895. I’ve reported both calls to the TPS, but not sure it’ll help much since the company and numbers are fake. Proper nuisance.

From what ukphoneinfo[###] says, "This number isn't part of any valid number range. If you've had a call from it, the caller is probably faking their ID. Ofcom info shows numbers beginning with 0141737 aren't given out." So it’s unlikely the caller is even in Glasgow - they’re just spoofing a number that looks local to you. Honestly, service providers ought to be forced by law to block any number that isn’t properly registered and allocated by Ofcom!

This number rang up my mum who is really badly visually impaired, and she ended up falling while trying to answer the phone, breaking her wrist, hip and pelvis. She’s got to have operations on her wrist and hip now. The doctor said there’s only about a 20% chance she’ll be able to come back home to us.
