Today, I got a rather dodgy automated call from this number, where the blokes on the other end fancied themselves as faux HMRC officials! An Indian gentleman, if you can call him that, informed me that I was facing legal action for supposed tax evasion. Honestly, HMRC doesn’t operate in such a shoddy manner nor do they resort to intimidation tactics. It's clearly a scam - don't fall for it!

i dunno but it feels like those calls that only ring to check if someone picks up and then they just hang up as soon as you say hello.

This number has called me a couple of times now, and every time I pick up, the person just stays silent and then cuts off the call. Bit annoying, really.

Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, told me there was some fraud stuff going on with my account and I should hit 1 to sort it out. Definitely seemed dodgy.
