A bloke rang up claiming my loft insulation was out of date and that they were working nearby. I told him I’m just renting and any work would need the landlord’s permission. When I asked for an email to confirm, he just said ‘no worries’. Then I asked if they were legit, he said ‘no worries’ again, and then just hung up on me.

I think I gave my details to some competition, which is likely how they got hold of my number. It's clearly the same scam company ringing repeatedly. Make sure you report them to the police and British Telecom asap. They won’t stop pestering folks unless people stand up and get these numbers blocked and investigations started.

Ugh, not this again! Yesterday it was supposedly coming from London, and now today it shows up as a number in Glasgow. DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER. They keep ringing from loads of different phone numbers like 01183389910, 01417298579, 02037477632, 01135214062, 02037477623, and 01914265606. I think I might've given my number entering some contest and that’s how they got it. Looks like one company behind all these calls, and it’s definitely a scam trying to catch everyone out. Make sure you report them to the police and BT. They won’t stop pestering from any of these numbers unless they get blocked and reported properly.

Once more, I’ve been getting calls from dodgy scammers pushing loft insulation - it’s relentless! They ring me multiple times a day, each time using a new number from places like London, Leeds, Birmingham and Glasgow just this week. You block one, and another pops up straight away. Seems like being on the TPS or having unlisted numbers doesn’t make any difference to these lot. Honestly, these calls feel really threatening and are proper harassment.

So, this bloke named Alex called claiming to be from some place called the 'Green Guidelines Centre'. He said it’s a government job to check which homes can get a grant to make them more eco-friendly. He asked loads of questions like what kind of boiler we have, if the loft’s insulated, the age of our windows, even our ages. Then he said he'd send our details off and that if we were eligible, someone would get back to us; if not, we’d never hear anything more. Well, I’m waiting to see if they actually bother contacting us!
