0141 628 9955 rang me. It was a scam, lady with an Indian accent called herself Rachel and chatted about some accident supposedly in last couple of years. Didn’t have any details like where or when or what car. Total scam. Please block this number. It’s a Glasgow code but the person calling isn’t local at all. Definitely a fraud.

Got a call from an Asian lady saying she was ringin from Glasgow about some accident I supposedly had. She didn’t know any specifics about me or any incident. When i checked the number using 1471, it showed up as 0141 6289955. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call today from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from the accidents department. I just laughed and ended the call.

They rang me on 30 May at 5pm about an accident supposedly in the ‘last 2 and a half years’. I’ve been on the TPS for ages but these annoying calls keep coming through like the system is useless. BT’s phone back showed the number as 0141 628 9955. I’ve handed it over to both the ICO and TPS. Still, I’d recommend everyone reports this firm.

Got a call from someone in India claiming I'd been "in a car crash sometime in the past two years, is that right?" I asked for the name of his company ("Accident Legal Advice UK") and the number he was calling from (he said 0141-628-8011). When I pressed for more details, he just hung up. But when I checked the number through BT Call Protect, the actual caller ID showed as 0141-628-9955. Tried looking online for any info on that number, but found nothing.

Went through the other replies and I’m with them all the way. Why won’t Ofcom just put a stop to these calls? Then they start asking for forms and car details, sounds exactly like a phishing scam to me. Definitely should be flagged as risky.

Got a call on 24th May about some accident they claim I was involved in, total con if you ask me. You’d think BT, TalkTalk, or Offcom would be on top of this and stop these scammers, but seems like the phone companies care more about making money than actually sorting out real complaints from their customers.

This number rang me on 17/5/17 and some woman with an Asian accent claimed I’d been in an accident? I’d definitely be aware if that happened! I just stayed quiet, didn’t respond, and she kept saying “hello, hello” over and over. Eventually she got annoyed and ended the call. Really hope I don’t get bugged by her or her mates again, they’re proper annoying!

Had a call today from someone named Barrie on this number, claiming I’d been in a car crash. Problem is, I don’t own a car! I just told him to buzz off and he ended the call real rude, just hung up on me. What more can I add?

Got a call on my landline from this number earlier, they said they were from the Accident and Emergency department. Just as I was listening, one of the kids knocked the phone and it went dead. I tried calling back but no one picked up. It’s a bit worrying since I’ve got family in the 0141 area.

Got a second ring from this number today. The first caller was an Asian lady, this time it was a bloke. Neither of them had a clue who they were trying to reach. They kept talking about a car crash I supposedly had, which is total rubbish. Said they were from some firm called Accident & Legal Advice, based in Glasgow. When I asked too many questions, they just cut me off. Not clever enough for a proper scam, just downright annoying pestering. Think the number they’re calling from might not even be genuine, maybe from overseas. Proper daft, but a right nuisance.

Got two calls from this number. First, a woman said I was in a car accident that wasn’t my fault. I told her I’d never been in any accident and then hung up. Next day, a different woman rang and said the same thing. I told her it was the second call I'd had (and this one actually woke me up!) and asked where she was getting her info from. She said the Road Safety Authority. I asked which Road Safety Authority, and she just hung up on me. Tried ringing back but no answer. What a disgraceful waste of time and pure harassment.

17/05/13, Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claimin someone said I’d been in a crash with my car. When I asked for more info and told him I seriously haven’t had any accident, he just dropped the line right when I was about to say he got my info dodgily. Shame, could’ve gone on for ages! Hi, I’m Robin. Today I got a call from this number and the guy on the other end said his name was Peter. He started asking me about an accident I had and said he could help me get a decent compensation. After getting some details from me, he told me that someone from his law firm would ring me back. Later, the solicitor contacted me and checked a few things about the accident. They said they’d send a letter about the compensation and handle everything properly. Honestly, I’m quite pleased with how it all went. The people were polite and professional throughout. I really appreciate their help. Just so you know, it’s not one of those scams or PPI nonsense.

Got a call from one of those typical scammers from India or Pakistan claiming I’d been in a car crash sometime in the past couple years. We’re in the same boat, our number's ex-directory too. A few months back, my husband was involved in a collision in his work vehicle (someone crashed into him from behind). He exchanged business cards with contact info and business insurance details, no connection to our personal car’s reg, home phone, our car insurance, or even my name. Yet these ambulance chasers ring up asking for me, quoting my car’s registration! So who on earth is handing out our private details? I keep registering the numbers with the TPS, but it doesn’t seem to help at all.

Just received a call from this number but they hung up as soon as I picked up. Bit odd that it's a Glasgow number because about a fortnight ago, someone with a strong Glaswegian accent rang one of our mobiles claiming to be from Barclays. He said there was some suspicious activity on our account and asked for our phone banking password. That raised alarm bells since we don't use phone banking at all. He tried to convince me he was legit by saying he knew our address but ended up giving the wrong one. I've already let Barclays know and will be passing them this Glasgow number as well. Thinking of notifying the police too.
