This number incessantly calls our other half every day. However, the moment we mention she's at work and request them to leave a message, they flatly refuse to disclose their identity and simply insist that they'll call back. When you attempt to ring the number, an automated voice informs you, “Earlier today, you received a call from Barclay’s Wife Finance, and no further action is necessary.” About a month and a half ago, I opted for a buy-now-pay-later scheme financed through Barclays, so it's quite plausible that what Sudhir suggested is indeed correct.

We've just had a call from these folks as well. The moment we answered, there was a brief silence, then the line went dead with that familiar dial tone. I'm starting to reckon this might be one of those pesky cold calls.

I've been getting calls from this number repeatedly, all regarding some extra payment protection linked to a recent 'buy now, pay later' transaction. Strangely enough, they’ve never bothered to leave a voicemail. They claimed to be from Barclays, which raised my suspicions. They wanted me to verify my birth week and the first line of my address-details they should already have on file along with my name. Sounds a bit dodgy to me, if you ask me!
