I'm in the same boat, been trying to set up a gas account for ages, like 4 months and counting. The call centre kept giving me the runaround with nothing but excuses. I even emailed them saying I was switching providers, they replied with some kind of farewell message. Now OVO have reached out to take over, and guess what? They’re ringing me again. This number has been ringing me pretty much everyday since 29th June. I've never picked up so no idea what it's about, just what I've seen on here. I grabbed an app called Mr Number to block it and that’s sorted it so far. But I can imagine it must be quite stressful if you can’t use one of these blocking apps. I've reported it to the ICO. this number is probably from scottish power sales people. if you’ve moved or switched energy from them you might get a call from here trying to keep you as a customer with a better deal. if you’re not with scottish power just hang up, but if you’ve only just switched providers it might be worth picking up.
