I received a call from this number earlier today, claiming that I was entered into a competition to win £1500. The thing is, I have absolutely no recollection of entering any such competition. To make matters more bizarre, I was out of the country on the day they mentioned for the entry! I firmly asked them to remove my details from all their lists and requested that they cease contacting me altogether. They mentioned something about “Scotts Life” but honestly, it all sounds rather dodgy to me. Quite ironic, isn’t it? They’re trying to sell me something even though I could have been a potential winner!

It seems that most of their staff can hardly string together a coherent sentence without relying solely on their scripted lines. Honestly, we should treat these utility companies - what I consider to be a well-organised crime syndicate - with the utter disdain they’ve rightfully earned. They seem indifferent to the plight of the elderly, disabled, and those struggling financially, allowing many to face dire circumstances in the cold. Thus, I suggest we all take a stand; be as obstructive as possible when dealing with them, and absolutely avoid their extortionate premium lines. I’ve just made the switch away from Scottish Power after their ludicrous price hike, the absurdity of their customer account management, and a general lack of service competency. They might be keen to re-establish contact or attempt to squeeze some cash out of me since I hastily cancelled my direct debit before they could pull their final scam on my bank. Ha! I might just remember to send them a cheque in the new year - if it crosses my mind - but for now, Scottish Power, you’ll just have to keep hoping!
