I received a barrage of calls from someone purporting to represent the national accident helpline. When I told them I wasn’t interested in pursuing a claim-seeing as I've not had a mishap of any sort-the caller rudely accused me of being dishonest. Even now, as I type this, they’re still persistent on the line! I've lost count, but I reckon I’ve had nearly twenty calls in just the past hour. Mentioning the Telephone Preference Service or Ofcom doesn’t seem to faze them; I doubt they’re even aware of what those entitles are. Quite a nuisance, really!

Got a call from an Asian guy, said his name was Martin or Michael, rang my landline at 10:53 this morning. He claimed it was about a car accident I was involved in, but I’ve never been in one. Told him to piss off and then I just hung up.

I’ve received yet another one of those nuisance calls regarding my supposed accident. I made it clear that I didn’t want to be disturbed again, but that seemed to wind him up even more, as he just continued to ring me! Honestly, I must have had at least ten calls from him by now.

Some bloke from India was going on about some traffic accident, I told him his story made no sense and just ended the call. Not in the mood to hear that nonsense.

Got a ring from Martin and surprise, surprise, it was a scammer. I asked where he got my number from, his surname, the company he worked for and what he was having for tea! I told him Digby Brown (definitely not) was handling my case. I ended the call but he rang back, saying his supervisor wanted a word. I said if I don’t want to talk to you, why would I want to chat with your supervisor? Said bye and hung up, then blocked the number straight away.
