This was a total scam! They claimed to be from EE, but when I mentioned I was on O2, they quickly said they worked with them too. Then when I said I had Giff Gaff, they insisted they were linked as well. The caller had a foreign accent and was using a Glasgow number. Once I started questioning them, they just ended the call. My phone buzzed once then the person hung up before I could pick up. I’m pretty sure it was a scam since I wasn’t waiting for any calls and especially not from anywhere in Glasgow. Best not say things like, “I’m not with EE or Vodafone” cause then they figure out which network you use. Also avoid saying “yes” or “no” since they can record and misuse your voice. I’ve had these calls a few times now, so if you’ve got elderly or vulnerable relatives, warn them about these scams.

I can confirm that this phone number is, without a doubt, a scam! I made the mistake of reaching out to what I thought was the real 02 support line, but thankfully, they managed to halt the fraudulent transaction. Interestingly enough, they tried to reach me again yesterday using the same number listed above - 01415010239. Upon reflecting on it, I've noticed it has the tell-tale signs of spam. My network provider is already in the loop about this. Oh, and I got a call from 01224004687 as well, but wisely chose to ignore it!

Watch out, this is a scam. It looks like it’s coming from 02. They say I missed a call and it’s a “free call alert”. Then they tell you to dial 901, press * and then option 5 twice to stop it. No idea what that actually does, so I just blocked the number.

Some woman rang me claiming to be from O2, trying to sell a 40% discount. I’ve gotten calls like this before so I knew it was a scam straight away and told her to get lost. For anyone unfamiliar, they say they’re sending a “discount code” that you have to say back to them. But actually, it’s a reset code for your account, which they use to break in and take over.

This is definitely a scam, first I got a message claiming to be a security alert from O2, then another with some sort of code, followed by a call from this number. Best not to pick up. I sent the suspicious texts to 7726 and have blocked the number on my phone now. Got a call from this number trying to sell me some O2 discount. I quickly searched the number while still chatting and politely mentioned that it seemed like a scam number and I wasn't interested. The person on the other end got a bit annoyed and just ended the call.

Got a call from this number earlier, and since I’m nowhere close to Glasgow, I just put the phone down right away. Looks like another scam attempt stopped dead in its tracks. Didn’t waste my time, though!
