Got a call today on my mobile from a 0126 number, right after getting an Amazon scam call on my landline earlier. Bit unsettling to get both on the same day.

Got calls from 0141-489 numbers, defo block em! Seems to be that Amazon prime scam. They use different endings like 0608 and 0612. The texts say you’ve been charged twice, like £300 and over £1000. Don’t press anything, just block and report straight away. Also spotted 0151-456 doing the same. Are these scammers working wherever card firms have their call centres, or what?

Watch out for calls beginning with 0141-489, they’re dodgy. It’s a classic Amazon Prime scam. The final four digits keep changing - like 0608 or 0612. They send texts saying you’ve been charged twice, with amounts like £300 and over £1000. Don’t even think about pressing 1 or 2, just block the number and report it straight away. Also got calls from 0151-456, so could be these con artists are everywhere, especially where card companies have their call centres? Really suspicious.

I keep getting calls from 0141-489 numbers, they’re all scams pretending to be Amazon Prime. The last four digits keep changing like 0608 or 0612. They say there’s been payments of £300 and over £1000 on my card. Whatever you do, don’t press 1 or 2, just block the number and report the scam.

This telephone number, along with several others linked to fraudulent activities, is listed under the name of Stuart Wright, residing at 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, B45 8JF, born on the 19th of January, 1965. It’s hardly surprising that he enjoys the comforts of a spacious home, considering his knack for conning unsuspecting individuals!

Looks like some muppet went ahead and pressed 1 like it said below. Honestly, have a proper look at your phone charges, and if you did it on your mobile, maybe do a security check cause you might have picked up some dodgy stuff. Best advice? Don’t ever deal with these scammers. If you do, you’re just inviting a flood of even more scams your way.

I got a call from this recorded lady speaking English, saying my bank card had some weird activity and to press 1 if I wanted to block it. When I hit 1, it switched to a recorded American guy who said to hang on for a "poll picker" or something like that. Then, out of nowhere, the person who actually answers is an Asian guy trying to scam money from me - nothing like what they claimed at the start!

Got a call this morning around half past nine from 01414890612. It was some automated voice saying my Amazon card had dodgy charges - one for £300 and another for £1100. It asked me to press 1 to speak to someone about it. Obviously, I could tell it was just a recorded scam, so I told them off and ended the call. Total SCAM, watch out!

I received a rather dodgy phone call today featuring a robotic voice urging me to take action due to some unusual activity on my credit card. It prompted me to hit 1 if I wanted to halt the transaction, or 2 if I wished to speak to someone regarding it. My tip for everyone is clear: do not press any buttons when you're dealing with these sorts of scam calls. Simply block the number to avoid wasting your precious time when they inevitably ring again.

This number has rung me like 12 times this week, along with 01514560566. I normally dont say anything when I answer so I never get one of those automated messages. Its well frustrating, particularly since I work nights and get calls in the day when I’m knackered. Surely there’s a way to block or stop these calls? It’s getting right on my nerves.

Got a call saying money was taken from my account. Thing is, I don't even have an account right now, so no way I'd be buying stuff from Amazon or anything. Plus, if it was real, my account is seriously in the red, so any transaction would be declined anyway. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

Almost everytime I pick up, it's some scammer pretending to be from my bank's fraud dept, telling me payments I never made - like £300 on Amazon or a £1000 overseas transfer. I’ve been inundated with calls almost every single day! No matter how many times I block the number, the calls just switch to different ones. Got a recorded message claiming to be from some bank's security team. They never said which bank though. Said there were 2 strange transactions on my account - one £300 charge from Amazon and another £1100 from some overseas money transfer place. Then it told me to press 1 to approve or 2 to block them. Such sneaky scammers. I can see how someone less careful might totally get tricked by this. This number’s been reported loads as a total scam, so why is it still allowed to operate?

Got a call from some automated voice, like all the others, talking about Amazon and some foreign payments. It's baffling how these numbers are still ringing up people, especially since loads of folks, including the more vulnerable, end up getting tricked by these scams. Why aren't they stopped yet?

Got a call saying I've got £300 about to be sent to Amazon and £1000 that's going overseas. Then they told me to press 1 to stop it or 2 to talk to a rep. I didn’t press anything, just ended the call. Pretty obvious it's a scam.

Got a call from some robot pretending to be from a bank’s fraud team. They never told me which bank or gave a name. They claimed there were two dodgy payments, one for £300 and the other for £1000. Said I had to press 1 to stop the payments and 2 to talk to an operator. Definitely a scam, sounded fishy and the number looked like it was from Glasgow but was fake.

Got a robo call on my landline this morning pretending to be my bank. They said there were a couple of dodgy charges on my card, one from Amazon and another from abroad, both for quite a bit of money. They told me to press one to block the payments or speak to a rep. Totally fake, so I just hung up straight away.

07/02/22, 12:20pm. 01414890612 from Glasgow rang me. It was one of those annoying automated messages about my bank, asking me to press 2 to talk to someone. When I did, a bloke named Martin picked up (bit strange as he sounded Asian, wouldn’t have guessed that name). I just told him to bugger off, I’m fed up with these scams. Honestly, they should be caught and given proper punishments or serious fines by now.

Absolutely a con, without a shadow of a doubt! Seriously, what kind of bank calls you on your landline with some robotic message? If it were a legitimate call from your bank, they’d have the courtesy to greet you by name, specify which bank they represent, and then politely ask you to verify your identity before discussing any issues. These scam artists excel at keeping you on the line while simultaneously blocking your attempts to reach your actual bank. Before you know it, they’ve got all your account details, PINs, and who knows what else, ready to abscond with your hard-earned cash. It's really rather straightforward. If you receive one of those dodgy calls claiming there’s suspicious activity on your account, just hang up! Then, grab your bank card, find the official number, and give them a ring to check if they truly attempted to contact you about anything concerning. Additionally, it’s wise not to leave all your savings in a single account. Just keep enough for your weekly expenses to tide you over for shopping and bills. That way, should you fall victim to one of these schemes, you only end up losing a fraction of your total savings. Consider stashing your savings in a different account and move over just what you need weekly to cover your bills.
