I got a call from someone claiming they were a company that would block all my nuisance calls at no cost. They said they already had all my info, including my network and even my bank card expiry date. Then they started asking me to confirm my bank details! I didn’t hang up fast enough, but once they did, I ended the call straight away. Proper dodgy, honestly!

I picked up today around lunch but the call dropped straight away. I tried ringing them back, only to hear a woman saying they were doing some Market Research. Definitely a SCAM in my view.

There was this guy with a really strong Indian accent, claiming he was from some National Call Blocking Service. He spoke to my wife first and oddly enough, seemed to already know our names and that we were retired, also mentioned we pay our bills by direct debit. My wife then passed the phone to me, and when he tried to question me, I asked straight up where he was calling from. After hearing him out, I told him we weren’t falling for any scams and ended the call. He was protesting but I’d had enough and hung up.

Got a call from some guy with a strong foreign accent, talking super quickly about phone calls or something. He claimed he knew I was over 65 and said my card info was expired and needed updating. Just like someone else mentioned here before, I got a call from people claiming to be from Call Guardian, saying I’d used their call blocking service back in 2020. They even knew my address and claimed I had a Direct Debit set up with them, which I’m certain I never did. When they asked me to verify my bank card info, I said no, and then they tried to put me through to other reps and a supervisor. I ended up just hanging up. They were really pushy too, kept calling me about six times afterward. Eventually, I had to block their number.

This number kept buzzing my mobile at least 4 times today. They claimed to be from Call Guardian and asked if I’ve been getting loads of spam calls lately. Then they tried to get me to say my Debit card’s expiry date, but when I told them I don’t have a direct debit with them, they transferred me to a 'supervisor' who just ended the call straight away. I’ve blocked the number now.
