I worked for one of those so-called "energy saving" firms before. It’s really just a sneaky way to push double glazing. They’ll quote you ridiculous prices then try to sell it as a “government offer,” but in reality, you’re still being charged way more than is fair. They keep inventing fancy schemes every year, but trust me, there’s no genuine government discount involved.

After reading the other replies, I’m pretty sure this eco window company is a total scam. Signed up a few weeks back thinking it was some government thing, but once I figured out it was dodgy, I declined. They still ended up with my info tho. Have blocked their number now, fingers crossed they stop calling.

For ages I kept getting these pre-recorded calls about some Green Deal scheme for new windows. After a while, I pressed 5 to get a callback. Turns out they were after leads for Zenith windows (could be other companies too). So I arranged for Zenith to come by and give a quote, but really just wanted to waste their time like they did mine, and let them know what a low way it was to gather leads through those dodgy scammers. Honestly felt better after that - and they haven't called me again since.

For ages, I kept getting loads of robo calls from some firm giving out leads for Zenith windows. If you’re fed up too, why not give Zenith a ring and tell ’em what you think about working with a company that keeps pestering people? Even better, book a quote appointment with them and waste their time like they’ve done with you. I gave it a go myself and the calls finally quit.

Got a call from someone pushing a government program for windows and doors. They’re just trying to get pushy sales reps into your home. Don’t believe their claim about the price being locked in for 18 months - it’s rubbish and could end up with you buying stuff you don’t need or can’t afford.

I'm registered with the telephone preference service but this company has rung me about a dozen times over the past nine months. They say they're from the Green Deal and part of a Government recycling scheme that actually finished quite a while ago. They’re linked to Zenith Windows - check their reviews online, their sales methods seem pretty questionable. Honestly, they ought to be closed down. I’ve chatted with them to find out more and have also reported them to the relevant authorities. I’d suggest others do the same.

Stay well clear of Penicuik Windows, honestly. As soon as you sign, they charge you an admin fee of £199, even though they don’t actually do anything administrative. I called to cancel the very next day, but I’m still getting nonstop silent calls from this number. Proper dodgy company.

Supposedly offering double glazing or maybe just trying to drum up leads for double glazing companies. They say they can get government grants for replacing old windows. Got quite aggressive when I told them it’s a PTS registered number. They insisted we’d shown interest and said I was wasting their time. Reported these lot, they keep ringin non stop trying to flog double glazing, boilers, conservatin stuff and insulation. I've been poorly last few days, just wanted some peace and quiet so I had some fun and sent their sales guy on a right wild goose chase. Told em we were after a boiler, insulation and new windows for my made-up 8 bedroom country house.

I’ve figured out who’s calling and the reason behind it. Each time they ring me, I keep asking for their quote to be sent in writing. Just said it again today, and wouldn’t you know it, no more than two minutes after I hung up, they called back straight away. It’s really starting to annoy me.

About three years back, I had some work done by Penicuik Windows and it's been nothing short of a nightmare ever since. After a couple of months, the windows weren’t the right size and started flashing and ripping out, which caused water to leak inside. More recently, around two months ago, I noticed the bedroom window didn’t have enough packing, and last month, the living room window was howling with the wind. A bloke came round and found it wasn’t sealed properly. I’ve repeatedly tried to contact the CEO but with no luck whatsoever. Just recently, I've started getting calls from 01414654633. I asked for help, and although the guy seemed alright, I could tell he wasn’t being honest. It’s the same outfit that Penicuik uses - clearly a job done half-heartedly. I’ve called all their numbers multiple times, but still no response. Total waste of time.

Got a phone call on the 12th of January 2017 from someone with an Irish accent, talking about some roofing and fascia board work they'd done before. I struggled to make out exactly what guarantee he was promising for any future jobs. Ended up having to end the call early.
