luckily they keep going straight to my voicemail and all I get is the reference number. Whenever I get an unsolicited call now, I make sure to ask for their GDPR department and put in a formal Data Subject Access Request. It’s crazy how well this works to stop them bothering me.

I kept getting heaps of robo calls with an Aussie accent, all about a Michael Brown needing to call a Mr Caine at 0141 457 7044, plus some reference number. I decided to ring the number back and ended up speaking to a woman named "Moira" who said sorry and assured me they'd take my number off their list. I’m guessing this number is linked to some Debt Recovery company. That said, it could also be faked by all sorts of dodgy characters.

They rang me up asking for my old maiden name which I haven't used in ages, like over 25 years. Then they wanted my info so I asked who they were and pointed out that if they have my number they probably have my address too. The guy got all rude and I just told him okay, goodbye.

Got a text earlier from (AIC) telling me to ring Mr Campbell at 01414577044. I’ve never had a call from that number before and the message didn’t say what it was about, so there’s no way I’m calling back. My phone’s spam filter caught it, and I usually trust that, so watch out, these folks don’t always just phone you. Always trust your instincts with stuff like this.

I reckon this is a con, so I just give a made-up name to see what they’re on about.

They kept ringing and asking me to call Mr Kane with some reference number. I called back just to find out what it was regarding, but they said they needed my details like name, address, and date of birth for 'security reasons'. I didn't give anything as I had no clue what it was about and they wouldn’t explain. I told them if it’s legit, they’d already have my address and could just send me a letter. Haven't had another call since then.

I just got a call from this number, and when I picked up, they began asking me about people I have no connection with at all. When I challenged them about it, they were really quite rude and hostile. Just a heads up, if this number rings you, best to block and add it to your spam list straight away.

Got a voicemail from someone asking me to call a Mr Cain, gave a ref number. I called back just to find out who they were but they hung up on me. I’ve got no debts as far as I know and what worries me is they knew my full name, including a first name I don’t even go by. Feels like a scam to me.

Got a call on the office line from a recorded voice saying to ask for a Brian White to ring up a Mr Kane and give this reference 8801357. Thing is, we don't have anyone called Brian White working here, so I just ended the call. Our receptionists are already swamped with real enquiries, no room for dodgy calls like this!

Got a call from 01414577044 this morning at 10:53. They wanted to speak with a "Michael" and asked him to ring Mr Cane back on the same number, mentioning ref 8982360. We don’t know anyone by that name here. Safe to say, I’ve blocked them.

Other folks have said pretty much the same. I blocked the number but it still shows up on my caller ID. Most of the time I’m not home when it calls, so I’m not sure if it actually goes through. They never leave a voicemail either.

Allied International debt collectors keep ringing me up over and over. Just this week, they called three times asking for someone I’ve never heard of. I told them to leave me alone but they just keep calling. I even asked if they could check and sort it out by removing that person’s name from my number, but they said they don’t even know if that person ever had my number in the first place.

I usually dont pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers, and since I dont have any contacts in Glasgow, I ignored it. But they kept ringing me over and over. I get pretty anxious and this kinda thing just messes with my head. If they have my phone number, they likely have my address too, so honestly it would be better if they just sent me a letter or something instead.

This person was a scammer, refused to explain why they were calling, and just ended the call after wasting my time when I didn’t play along. The call ended with both of us shouting insults at each other.
