Every time my home phone rings, I just assume it's a scammer. I don't pick up, but I do look up the numbers here sometimes. This one called me, so now I gotta give my older family a heads-up about it. Judging by the other comments, maybe someone at U-Switch is leaking info or their site got hacked. Could even be a fake U-Switch site trying to steal your data.

Just a heads up - if you keep getting calls from those pesty spam people, like Fityre Credit Solutions, you can ring BT's harassment line on 1572 and ask for a free call blocker. Once you hang up from their call, just dial 1572 and add the number to block it. After that, they shouldn't be able to bother you again.

Got no clue who’s calling as they always hang up before I pick up. They keep ringing but it’s the same thing over and over. I’m not with Scottish Power, and I stopped using Sainsburys Energy more than 5 years back when they changed over. I’ve now blocked the number after seeing what others said here.

I've come across this number and can confirm it’s a scam. They purport to be from Scottish Power but are actually trying to fish for your personal information. This number keeps calling me loads every day, but the ring never lasts long enough for me to pick up. Also getting calls and text messages on my mobile saying it's from Scottish Power about my account. I’m already having trouble with them as they wrongly shut down my gas account. Not many firms have both my landline and mobile, but SP does, so when they deny this number is theirs, it makes me think someone might be selling my details.

Got calls from people pretending to be Scottish Power trying to scam money, but they’re definitely not from the company. I checked with Scottish Power and they said the number isn’t theirs. Funny thing is, the calls began right after I switched energy suppliers using USwitch. Loads of others who left or are leaving Scottish Power have been getting these calls and messages as well, so I reckon USwitch might’ve shared our info with these fraudsters.

When I asked who I was speaking to, she said ScottishPower. I told her I don’t have an account with them as I’m still living with my parents. She said she’d take my info off their system, then just hung up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Scottish Power’s collections dept. I rang Scottish Power directly afterwards and they said the number don’t belong to them. Bit odd really.
