01414470539 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number โ˜Ž๏ธ 01414470539 ๐Ÿ‘† is reported as a debt collection agency mostly acting on behalf of HMRC and utility companies, but experiences vary widely. Some confirm legitimacy and fair negotiation when debts are owed. However, many users describe aggressive, intrusive, and sometimes intimidating calls, often demanding personal information without clear explanations. Numerous accounts allege harassment through persistent calls and texts, including to those who deny owing money or have already settled debts. The practice of requesting security details before disclosing debt specifics raises suspicions of potential scams, prompting warnings to avoid sharing personal data. Complaints highlight poor communication, unsolicited automated messages, and difficulty in verification. Blocking numbers is common but often ineffective due to changing contact details. Caution and verification through official channels are advised before engagement.

Got loads of calls and texts from this number lately. Really glad i looked it up here because it feels like i'm getting harassed and i don’t owe anyone a penny.

They rang me up two times today after texting me first, but I’m sure I don’t owe anyone money, so I wouldn’t give them any of my details until they explained what it was about. Then the bloke just ended the call on me.

Got a call from pdcs today on 01414470539, they were on the phone for like ten minutes but no one picked up, just some music playing. Really not happy about it. I sent a text asking them to call back as it was urgent.

The recorded voicemail was really intimidating - I felt quite scared when I picked up. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a call on my phone earlier, they wanted to chat with me or my missus. I asked what it was about, but they wouldn’t say unless I answered some security stuff and gave my postcode. I told them since they already know my address, just post me a letter instead, as I have no clue who they are. Then they ended the call.

This is a real debt collection company. I saw loads of comments calling it a scam, so I decided to double-check with HMRC myself. I was aware I owed the money, so once I confirmed they were legit, I gave them a ring. I couldn’t pay the entire sum at once, so I suggested £50 a month and they accepted without any hassle or pressure. They’re not some sort of nightmare.

This is indeed a bona fide debt collection agency. After perusing the comments on this site and noticing all the chatter about it being a scam, I decided to cross-check with HMRC first. I was already aware of my outstanding balance, so once I confirmed their legitimacy, I gave them a ring. Aware that I couldn't settle the entire sum in one go, I suggested a monthly payment of £50, and they welcomed the proposal without resorting to any aggressive behaviours. They’re far from being the bogeyman lurking in the shadows!

They keep ringing me and messaging about a bill from E On for a place I used to live. I’m sure I don’t owe them a penny, they even sent me a cheque after I handed in the final meter readings.

A guy with a Scottish accent rang me about some financial issue but said I had to pass some security checks before he could explain anything. Got really rude when I said I wouldn’t do any security stuff unless he told me where he was calling from. He didn’t even give a company name. I reckon they’ve also sent me letters saying I owe HMRC or something! It’s awful how these scammers prey on people who might not be able to protect themselves.

I’ve just encountered what seems to be a dodgy loan scheme. They got hold of all my personal details and ended up providing absolutely nothing in return. I’m definitely going to inform the authorities about this-I’ll be contacting the FBI without hesitation. It's clearly a scam. I rang the genuine bank that this so-called Mr. James claimed to be associated with, and they didn’t have a clue who he was. Just a word of caution to everyone: steer clear of this scam!

I just got a call from some pcds or whatever they’re called. They wanted me to confirm my info. I chuckled and said no way, you need to prove your identity, not me. I told them it’s against the rules to phone me without first sending a letter. Then I warned if I get another call I’d report them to the proper ombudsman. The bloke then said he could remove my number from their list. Total scam, watch out! Threaten to report them and they’ll back off.

I've received numerous letters, calls, and texts from these individuals claiming that I have a debt of thousands owed to the government. ๐Ÿ˜ข I can assure you, I do not owe a single penny to anyone-my bills are consistently paid on time. The thought of engaging with them frankly terrifies me, as I'm worried about being drawn into some sort of trap! At the moment, I am disregarding all forms of communication from them, yet the anxiety of how this ordeal will unfold is quite overwhelming. If anyone could share some sound advice, I would be ever so grateful. ๐Ÿ˜ข x

I've received calls from them three times this week, all wanting to speak to the accounts department. When I inquire about the purpose of the call, they insist that they need to chat with accounts and answer some security questions first. Only after that might they divulge what the call is regarding. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

This number is really annoying, I keep trying to block it but every time they message, it’s from a different phone number. I’ve messaged them back but they don’t have any right info, and I don’t owe money to anyone anyway. I was thinking about calling the BT number but worried it might be a premium rate, so I haven’t. They keep sending texts every month now, which is pretty frustrating. Does anyone know who you’re supposed to report this kind of harassment to?

How is PDCS, a debt collector based in Edinburgh, allowed to carry on with such rubbish business methods? I got a text today saying 'Mr $$$$$$$$$$, Please get in touch with PDCS about an important matter by calling 0141 951 6440 quoting customer number xxxxxxxxxx'. So, I called. I told the guy on the phone their dodgy approach has got to stop, and I wasn’t giving out my name or that reference (I used a different phone). If PDCS need to discuss something with people like me, they should send a proper letter, not a text that could scare folks. They mainly deal with chasing utility bill debts.

I've had it up to my neck with these persistent nuisances. I've already blocked their number, yet they keep sending me messages insisting that a certain Miss Zoé Ogilvie needs to get in touch with them regarding some pressing financial issue. This was definately a credit debt collector chasing me for money - they work for loads of places like the DVLA (if you mess up paying tax or get fined they come after the cash). They use those auto dialer things that keep ringing non stop but tbh I did owe the money so I agreed to pay it bit by bit over 6 months and they left me alone as long as I was paying.

I thought if you get overpaid tax credits, they just sort it out by deducting it from your future payments. That's what's going on with me anyway. At some point they gave me too much and now they’re just taking it off what I get each week. So instead of about £50 a week, it's always £0. Proper rip off if you ask me. And on top of that, I’m getting nonstop calls, texts and voicemails. Best bet is to just ignore and block them.

I've received a couple of calls on my recently activated landline from this number, with the caller asking for a certain individual. The other day, I received a rather peculiar call. An automated voice began by inquiring if I was indeed the owner of this particular number, and astonishingly, it even had access to my name. Naturally, I found this quite unsettling, as it felt off for someone to seek my identification without first disclosing their own. Despite my reservations, I went ahead and pressed '1' to confirm. Before I knew it, I was inundated with a repetitive message stating that my call was being recorded, assuring me that I would be connected to the next available representative. After hearing the same spiel over and over, my instincts kicked in, and I decided it was best to hang up the phone. Curiosity got the better of me, so I later looked up the number, 01414470539, and wouldn’t you know it? The results screamed dodgy! It leaves me wondering, why isn’t anyone from the fraud department taking this seriously?

Total rip off, dont even pick up if this number rings you, they began by sending texts now they’re calling with automated messages. Ive blocked them and will be filing a complaint, sounds like they’re trying to trick people into giving out info to steal cash. Ive never owed anyone money ever. No clue how they got hold of my personal phone number.

Debt collectors called me. Since I’m pretty sure I don’t owe anything, I’m not gonna bother ringing them back. They did use my middle name in the voicemail, which was kinda strange ‘cause I hardly ever go by that.

I got a rather peculiar automated call on my landline, which isn’t registered in any directory. The message urged me to ring back regarding some "past due credit," providing a customer ID to mention. I decided against calling them straight away and thought it wise to investigate before taking any action. Quite relieved I did, as it seemed a bit dodgy! - Caller: past due credit

Got a ring from these folks today, don't bother picking up if I don't know the number. Left a voicemail about some pdc or whatever, honestly don't give a toss. They've been added to my solid block list, no chance getting through.

They’re debt collectors, without a doubt!

Sounded like a typical scam call, they kept asking for my personal details. I said no. Ended up giving them a bogus address and they seemed to catch on it wasnt legit, so they must have had some of my info already from somewhere.

They tried ringing me earlier today but thankfully I have BT call guardian set up so they never made it through. I've also blocked their number now. Honestly, spending £40 on this phone was totally worth it.

This number keeps ringing me, but they wont say who they are and start getting really nasty and aggressive when I dont share my info. I aint giving out my personal details to strangers who wont even say their name, especially when they start acting threatening. I’m not someone who’s gonna put up with that kind of behaviour.

Just a heads up, folks! I’ve come across a rather dodgy character named Jamie McCreadie, claiming to hail from Past Due Credit Solutions. He operates out of Greenhead Street in Glasgow, postcode G40 1HU. Honestly, PDCS seems to be nothing more than a bunch of unscrupulous individuals. Watch out for their antics!

Absolutely dodgy company, attempting to extort money for a debt that's ancient history (over six years and written off). They’re nothing but a bunch of con artists. Do yourself a favour - don't engage with them, and certainly don’t take their calls. Rumour has it they’re linked to some unsavoury activities outside Glasgow, and their so-called director has a history of fraud (as noted by Watchdog on 8th May 2012). Best to steer clear of Past Due Credit, PDCS, or whichever guise they're operating under. - Caller: 01414470539 PDCS

pdc are just debt collectors. they really dont have any real power, they’ll try to scare you with threats but just tell them to buzz off and find a legit job.

I picked up but there was complete silence, no noise whatsoever, which felt a bit strange. Plus, my caller ID hasn't been working properly lately.

No clue who this could be but they left a mobile number after calling from a Glasgow landline - seems a bit dodgy if you ask me. Just blocked them.

Got a call from them today saying there was some financial matter concerning one of their customers. They asked me to verify my personal details for "security reasons." I told them to send me a letter if it's important because I'm not just going to give out my info like that. I’m curious to see if they actually follow through with anything, especially since the bloke didn’t even know my name. Feels like a total scam to me, so be super cautious about sharing any of your info on the phone!

Debt recovery credit firm called past due credit solutions, or something like that, ringing saying they’re sorting overpaid tax credits for HMRC. Got a few letters but today a woman called me wanting me to answer security questions without telling me the company’s name. She said I emailed them at 6.10pm yesterday, which I defo didn’t, so I’m quite puzzled!
