In the past few weeks, I’ve had this number ring me about 4 times, doing pretty much the same thing another user mentioned back in June 2019. Normally, I don’t pick up unknown calls but I missed the spot and answered the last one. The bloke claimed he was from nPower and asked for my postcode. I told him to send me a letter if he already had that info and I’d reply if I was interested. Honestly, just block the number - it’s the simplest way. Still, it’s quite irritating.

I didn’t pick up, but they left a message saying they were Mike from HMRC and told me to ring back straight away or face serious repercussions! Like anyone would fall for that!

Got a weird call claiming I was under investigation for tax dodging - turned out to be some recorded message from an Indian call centre!

Got a robo call from HMRC saying I owed £1,350 in taxes and I'd be arrested if I didn’t talk to an officer. Then some Indian bloke said they’d send the cops in an hour if I didn’t pay right away over the phone. Total SCAM! Report these lot so others don’t fall for it!

Got a call just now from some place named P###, asking if I could verify being in a car accident. When I asked how they got my number, the bloke said it was from the "Road Traffic Accident Department" and that loads of firms in the UK can access it. But when I pressed him a bit more, he just cut me off!

Got a call from someone pretending to be HM Revenue & Customs, said there’s a warrant for my arrest and told me to ring a different number. Watch out for this scam!

A woman with an Indian accent was asking me about a car crash. I told her I've actually blocked my number and made it private, so all these calls are just harassment. I also said I'd think about taking legal action against her and the company!

Just got a message from them telling me to log into some portal or ring that 0141 number. The name in the text was my partner who sadly died nearly 2 years ago. Really upsetting to get that message but thankfully I looked up the details here first, definitely not calling those vultures back.

Got an email at my work today from this number. It said it was from Past Due Credit Solutions but didn’t say what debt or who they’re collecting for. I looked up the number and found loads of warnings about it. So I’m guessing it’s all a scam. Also got a call today at the office from someone claiming to be from the internet, electricity and water services. When I said I was about to hang up, they told me to f**k off. That made me pretty sure they were dodgy too. Seems like they’re probably hunting for businesses through Facebook or something.

Loads of scam calls, emails, and texts these days, and if you get one, you should report it at '[#]actionfraud.pollice[###]/report-phishing' - it's a simple online system for flagging any scam attempts. They take care of investigating it. Plus, make sure to share it on here too, so others can be warned as well.

Just recieved a txt telling me to ring them and gave a ref number. I called the number and entered the ref but they kept saying it wrong. Then the call dropped after those usual messages about call recording for training. Looked it up here and decided to hang up. Gonna block the number from now on.

Got a message saying "Mr ., please get in touch with PDCS about something urgent by ringing 0141 447 0553 and mentioning customer ID 174266." Not bothering to call back after seeing the feedback here.

I had passed on an old mobile to a relative a couple of years back...
Out of the blue, I received a message from this company, using my name and a reference number...
They insisted I get in touch right away, so I decided to ring them up. They asked for my name, which I provided...
Then they requested my middle name, but I wasn’t keen on sharing that and insisted they clarify the purpose of their call first...
They were quite evasive and wouldn’t disclose who they were or the reason for their inquiry...
In the end, I concluded the conversation by telling them to send me a letter if they truly had my details...

I can’t believe HMRC would really text asking for money. It’s crazy to think people are actually getting these messages.

Got a text from this firm saying my partner needs to call them ASAP, but he’s got his own number, so it was a bit puzzling. We’re gonna wait till they send something on paper before doing anything. Texts like that just don’t seem trustworthy!

These lads (PDCS) finally sent me a letter after bombarding me with calls daily for weeks (had 12 calls in just one day once). They claim I owe nearly £3000 to SSE. Problem is, I have no idea what SSE even is, so how on earth do I owe them money?! Proper cheeky behaviour. Tell 'em to jog on. From now on, every call from a Glaswegian number gets blocked. Hopefully, they'll end up splashing out on more numbers and get nothing but silence when they ring me.

I received a text on my mobile instead of a call, urging me to ring them back. I'm utterly puzzled as to why they'd want to get in touch with me, so I haven't bothered to return the call.

if ur debt is over 6 years old and u haven’t paid a penny, no need to stress, they really cant do much and sooner or later they’ll give up and say the debt is back with the original creditor. honestly, shame on hmrc for letting these companies prey on ppl who r honestly trying to sort out stuff like overpayments.

Got a text from them saying I needed to ring this number straight away. Legit businesses don’t usually send urgent texts like that asking for a call back. After checking online, everything points to this being a total scam.

if youve got a debt that's over 6 years old and you haven't made any payments, really no need to stress, they can't legally do much after that and usually just give up and hand it back to the original lender. it's shocking how hmrc passes folks who are honestly trying to sort out things like overpayments on to these nasty debt collectors.

got a letter from some place called pastdue credit solutions with these numbers 0141 447 0538 and 0141 447 0554. they said i owed like £2495 to hme which freaked me out big time. called hmrc right away and found out i only owed £17, so this lot are definitely scammers. tried calling them back and was stuck on hold for more than 25 mins cos i wanted to tell them off, but no one picked up. this company’s a total fraud so be careful and dont pay a penny.
