I got a call from this number and it turned out to be a debt collector. They asked for personal info like my dob, name and address to look up the account. I didn’t really remember the debt as it was quite old, so I told them it had to be statute barred. After that, they said they’d close the case and wouldn’t bother me again. The firm is officially registered with the FCA, so it seems legit.

Got a text from OPOS asking me to call back and give them a reference number, but I just ignored it and blocked the number straight away. Got a letter through the post claiming I owed Provident £200 and that if I paid immediately, they’d knock it down to £100. (Such a generous deal, right?) The phone number to call was in the letter. I phoned them up but didn’t share any details. I told them flat out I knew it was a scam and I wasn't paying a penny. I’ve never taken out a Provident loan anyway. OPUS Debt Collection - They’ve been ringing me non stop and leaving annoying messages for ages. Got a voicemail from OPS limited on 0141 428 3990. It sounded pretty legit at first. They mentioned a reference code OP625548 using a computerised lady’s voice and repeated the landline number too. I was about to call back but decided to check the number online cause it seemed a bit dodgy when I typed it out. Watch out, they might start hiding their number soon. I just received a call from this number purporting to be associated with a debt collection firm, insisting that I get in touch with them urgently and even provided a reference number. My phone flagged the number with a scam alert, so I’ve been steering clear of them. Now, lo and behold, I've had another natter from 07866 004476, urging me to ring the OPOS number 01414283990. It seems they’ve resorted to using a mobile to try and reach me. Quite the persistent bunch, aren’t they?

Got some debt collectors from Opos blowing up my phone and sending letters about Spark Energy when I’ve already sent them proof of my real energy provider and that I’d moved out of that place before the bill even started. They won’t leave me alone even after I threatened to take them to court. Complete muppets.

Got a call from some debt collection place called OPOS.

They keep ringing from about 8 in the morning till 9 at night, like all day long! No idea how they found my landline number. They even bother me on Sundays, which is just crazy. Thankfully, I never pick up, but they don’t stop leaving voice messages all the time!

Got calls and texts from Opos saying they’d send bailiffs to my new place over an old debt with Spark Energy from like 4 years ago at my previous address. After ringing Spark Energy, they told me it was just a mistake on their system during some file transfer. No wonder it takes ages to sort stuff out with Spark Energy!

Out of nowhere, I received a call from someone claiming that I owed money to a firm I had literally just settled my account with. They were adamant that I should pay the exact sum again to a different bank account. Naturally, I was not convinced and told them I’d rather speak directly with the company to clear things up. At that point, they asserted they were a representative of said company and that my payment hadn’t been logged. I firmly declined and ended the call. I then reached out to the company myself, only to find out that it was a scam and my account was perfectly fine. Since then, I’ve been plagued by two more calls from these same con artists, repeating their ridiculous claims. I’ve had enough and will be reporting this to the authorities.
