Got a call from some dodgy people asking for my name and where I live. When I asked who they were trying to reach, they just wouldn't tell me. Pretty sure it's a scam, so I've reported it to Ofcom.

This is the very first time I've got a text from them, and before this it was just loads of scam letters popping through, all about payments and creepy debt collectors. Total rip-off, I’d just give it a miss.

A couple of weeks ago I got a call from 01413750945, and after that, I kept getting text messages from them saying I should get in touch with BPO about some BT account. The thing is, I’ve never had a BT account. The person on the phone was a woman, but she refused to tell me her name or any info. She even threatened that if I didn't share my details with them, I'd just keep getting calls. It’s really starting to feel like harassment now.

I got a message from 07866 935 215 on my new phone that was private. The text said something like "urgent, get in touch with bpo about bt on 0141375945, mention ref 118938123 or call back immediately." I don’t have any deals or contracts with bt, so I didn’t reply. Felt like it was maybe a scam or some kind of fraud attempt.

For the past three weeks, I've been getting texts nonstop from these folks about BT. Like everyone else, I reached out to BT myself and confirmed I don't owe a penny - something I was already sure about. It's definitely a scam, so just block them and don't bother responding at all.

Heads up, this debt collection agency is definitely dodgy. They claim to work with loads of big companies like Virgin Media, but I’ve never had anything to do with Virgin Media. So, I rang Virgin Media myself and they checked everything on their end, couldn’t find any record of me at all. Stay clear!

Beware, this looks like a total scam. My sister got a text supposedly from a BPO telling her to call them about her BT account, but she’s not even a BT customer. After a quick search, we found proof on another site that this is dodgy. Debt collectors don’t text you, they always send official letters instead.

Got a message that’s identical to what loads of others mentioned here. I just blocked the caller and ignored it altogether. Honestly, these folks deserve to be locked away somewhere nasty, maybe in a swamp, drenched in sugary cheap honey and left baking under the sun until nature sorts them out somehow.

Got a text like this the other day. Since I've never had a BT contract, I just brushed it off. Wouldn't a legit debt collector send a proper letter instead of a text?
