I keep getting calls from this really pushy person trying to sell me heating tips and then tries to push a boiler on me. Despite being on the TPS and having my number ex-directory, I still get around four spam calls every single day. Pretty sure they’re just buying up lists and ringing whoever they can. This morning alone, 01412800071 called me twice, first thing, all about a boiler. It’s so annoying!

I got a call from someone claiming to be Heating Advice Scotland. Turns out it was a scam, they just want your personal info. Best thing to do is just hang up straight away and don't respond at all.

got a call today from 0155445889, sounded like one of those usual recorded messages pushing solar panels or something. weirdly, their number wasn’t blocked this time, usually it's hidden. it gave me a thought, i hope the tps will crack down on these sorts of calls soon. the number looks like it might be from france but if the authorities act on bogus orders, they might be able to track these fraudsters down.

I keep getting these annoying calls from someone claiming to be Heating Advice trying to sell me a boiler. I'm signed up to the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and my number’s ex-directory, so I shouldn’t really be getting any cold calls, but I still get around four every day. Feels like businesses just buy number lists and ring whoever comes up. Already had one of these calls this morning from 01412800071, and now this one from 01413452336, both about boilers. Proper irritating!

They left a message, but I don't think they even knew it. Honestly, whoever you are young lad, it’s pretty unprofessional, but not like I care! I heard them answering another phone as if they were looking for Mrs Lockhart or someone, then suddenly no one was there. After that, they muttered "for heaven’s sake"... Seriously, using God’s name like that isn’t cool at all. I’m gonna block this number - caller was 01413452336.

Someone rang up asking for me by my name, but I told them it’s a work number. They said sorry and ended the call. They sounded Scottish, so I reckon it’s probably that same boiler firm that switches numbers. I don’t trust these cold call firms at all - to me, if a company was decent, they wouldn’t have to keep cold calling folks to find customers.

This number rang me up asking about my mum who passed away recently! They kept insisting on my name even after I told them she wasn’t here anymore. I got really annoyed and kept demanding to know who they were. Eventually, they gave me the company name. First, they said they were from the government, offering money for upgrading boilers and stuff. I got a call at 6:16pm, but the person on the other end didn’t seem to notice I’d picked up and kept me listening to some hold music for a good couple of minutes before she realised she was actually speaking to someone. Then she asked if I was Mr James, or if Mr or Mrs James were around. I just told her I had no idea who that was and I’m not Mr James. After that, she just hung up straight away. She didn’t say anything about what company she was from, what they do, or why they were even calling.

So I had to sit through a bit of hold music for a minute or so until she finally twigged I was there. When she spoke, she asked if Mr. or Mrs. James was around.
