Got a call from a number flagged as a probable scam robo call. The caller immediately asked for "Phillip," which isn’t me at all. Seems odd to me if they were genuine, right? Ended the call pretty quickly and decided to block the number.

Just now, I picked up one of those calls where no one said a word and then they ended it on me. It’s really starting to annoy me. I keep blocking these numbers but they keep coming. I only even pick up because I'm expecting an important call. Honestly, I’m thinking of sticking to emails from now on, at least with them I can just ignore whenever I want without the hassle.

Just like many folks here, I missed the call and tried ringing back. When I got through, an answering machine said something like the person at ext 827318136 isn’t free and, weirdly, you can’t leave a message because the mailbox is full or won’t take any. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Annoying bloke going on about some Ofgem thing to do with energy firms after the cap went up on April 1st. He was all cheery and chatty but I couldn’t really tell if he was offering to check out my old gas and electric bills to see if I'd been overcharged before, like some kind of mis-selling check, or if he was just selling me a switch to a cheaper deal now - which I’d already sorted out by looking online and calling providers myself. He sounded pretty confident (and I let him carry on), but deep down I knew he was a right plonker.

I've been getting loads of calls from this number non-stop. Sounds like some automatic dialler hooking you up with a sales team trying to push stuff. When I rang it back, all I got was a message saying their voicemail's full. Best to just block it, unless you fancy messing about with them on the phone for a bit!

they used to ring me like 4 or 5 times daily, but never bothered leaving any messages. now they just call every few months so i went ahead and blocked them.

They have been ringing me non-stop, like 9 times just today and 7 times the day before. It’s honestly so annoying. They never bother leaving a message either, probably because their voicemail box is full! What really gets me is they keep calling late in the evening after 7.30, which is really bad when you’ve got an ill kid at home. These calls keep coming every single hour all day long. I’ve had enough and finally blocked the number!

Got a call from some pushy telemarketer trying to force me into switching my energy provider. They kept talking over me and wouldn’t let me get a word in edgeways. Claimed they were from an energy company outside the usual ‘big six’. When I didn’t agree, they just hung up on me, quite rude really.
