Got a call from a Glasgow number, some scammer saying they were from Bell View Pay or Dell View Pay, linked to SPECTRUM Billing Services. Definitely a dodgy one. Best thing is to just ignore it and never share your bank info.

So someone rang saying they were from the company that blocks my calls. They wanted me to give them my debit card details to "verify" my direct debit for my mobile bill. Seemed really dodgy to me.

The person calling never gave their name or pressed #, so Callguardian stopped the call from ringing on my phone again.

I received a phone call from a lady with an Indian accent, claiming to represent a telephone preference service. To my surprise, she had my address and asked me to verify it. I immediately grew suspicious and called her a potential fraudster, to which she responded that I was overthinking things. I insisted that she send me a letter or an email, but she insisted they would only do so once I confirmed my interest in their service. I ended the conversation by accusing her of swindling money from vulnerable folks and promptly hung up the phone.

I got a call from a woman with an accent who claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service. She asked if I was still receiving annoying calls and somehow already had my name and postcode. She didn’t try to get much info except kept asking for my address, which I said she should already have if she's from TPS. She seemed quite pushy about it. Then she said she’d post some paperwork about TPS to me. I didn’t share my address though. She also mentioned I pay my phone bill by direct debit, but I just told her I wasn’t giving any details and ended the call.

I got a call from a bloke claiming to be from BT, and he already had our names, address, and postcode, which made it seem legit. He said he was gonna stop all those annoying international calls for us. But when he asked me for my credit card’s expiry date, alarm bells rang loud and clear - definitely a scam. Now he says he’ll ring again at 5pm to talk to my husband, and I’m feeling pretty uneasy about it.

I just got a call claiming to be from BT, saying they wanted to confirm if my block on unwanted calls is active. When I asked them if they seriously expect me to believe they're cold-calling me to test whether my block works, they hung up straight away. What a cheeky scam that was!

Got a call that supposedly came from the Telephone Preference Service. When I inquired about their location, the chap on the other end said he was in London. So, just for a bit of banter, I asked how the weather was there and he responded it was lovely. I then chimed in, mentioning it was actually pouring down in London. He countered that he quite enjoys the rain and that it was all good. At that, I called him out on his fib, and he promptly ended the call. Total scam!

Someone rang me up, purporting to be from the Telephone Preference Service. Curious about their whereabouts, I inquired and they claimed to be based in London. I then cleverly asked about the weather in that lovely city, and they said it was all sunshine and smiles. I couldn’t help but chime in, mentioning it was peeing down with rain here! Strangely, they seemed to fancy the downpour, stating they rather enjoy it. I called them out on their fibs, and would you believe it, they abruptly ended the call. Definitely dodgy business!

Got a call from someone saying my call barring had run out. When I asked for proof, they threw some info at me that wasn’t even right. Funny thing is, the other day I got called and they asked for 'Mrs. Xxxxxx', I’m a bloke so I was a bit puzzled. When I asked what the call was for, they said it wasn’t really a survey, just a few questions they needed to ask. Didn’t feel right so I didn’t bother going further.
