This one was a right pain. They seem to know you’re changing energy providers somehow. A young bloke called and guessed straight away that I was switching from Scottish Power. He claimed he could beat any deal from my new supplier, saying the other company was quoting old prices. When I asked for the details, he said he couldn’t give them but offered to tell me how much cheaper they’d be if I shared my deal. Wouldn’t send anything by email though.
