I managed to keep them chatting forever. Told them all about my mishap, the bloke in the knight's armour, the circus pony, the trailer that went loose from the car towing it, and the awful crash where I ended up losing my leg. Then I ranted about never trusting circus clowns again and all the crazy stuff that led to my current health problems. My job as a trapeze artist ended because of the accident and the dangers of riding a bike on the death wall. Do you reckon I’d get insurance for that?

The coppers do catch these scammers sometimes, often teaming up with police from other countries. But they can't do much unless they're aware of the frauds and have enough details on file.
