So I got a call today here in Edinburgh, and the guy called me Mrs xxxx, which really upset me. I’m actually Miss xxxx, and my mum, who was Mrs xxxx, passed away just a month ago. The first thing he asked was ‘Is this Mrs xxxx?’ I said no and asked who he was, but he didn’t say a word back. I just ended the call. It annoys me so much when they just assume that if you’re a woman who owns a home, you’ve got to be a Mrs. I achieved everything on my own, thank you very much.
