I just got a rather unexpected call from a company claiming to be Release Services Glasgow. As soon as I explained to the woman on the line that I wasn't keen on whatever it was they were promoting and that I was busy with work, she had the audacity to suggest I shouldn’t have provided my number. Truth be told, I never shared my number with them in the first place! It’s a bit rich, really. To top it off, she abruptly hung up on me, acting as if I was the one wasting her precious time. Quite amusing, really!

Why on earth do we have to drop them an email to ask them to remove our number? It's infuriating enough getting calls from them as it is! So why would we want to hand over our email address too? We tried calling the freephone number listed on the website and were told those pesky calls are made in accordance with government regulations. I can’t help but wonder - who are the numpties in the government who thought it was a good idea to allow companies to pester folks like this? It’s absolutely ridiculous!

They’re basically a business that tries to scam you with some shady finance stuff. They say they can wipe out your debts if you pay a fee, but honestly, you can get all that sorted without paying a penny just by popping into your nearest money advice centre or citizens advice office.
