somebody rang up claiming to be from a claims outfit about a crash i’d supposedly been linked to and money i should get for it. i told them straight i’d never been involved in any such accident, and then the line went quiet. i asked again what the call was about, and after a pause, they just said sorry miss and put the phone down.
