I picked up and heard an automated message asking for Nicholas Stansfield, telling me to press 1 if that’s me, or 2 if not. I went with 2. After a short bit of classical music - probably to soothe annoyed people - a bloke came on and said they were from "Resolve" (who even are they?). He asked if I was Nicholas Stansfield (I’m a woman) and then I told him to delete my number from their records since I don’t know anyone by that name. To be honest, the guy was quite polite and promised to take my number off straight away.

Well, I received a rather peculiar phone call today. They were trying to confirm some of my information, claiming that I owed them £50 regarding my dealings with the Department of Work and Pensions. Today, on the 27th of March, 2017, I received a rather peculiar phone call. A lady on the other end asked if I could verify my personal information-name, address, date of birth, the whole shebang. Naturally, I inquired about their company, and she vaguely mentioned some debt-related service they were supposedly affiliated with. I pointed out that if they were genuinely contacting me about any debt issues, they would already have my details, so there was no way I was dishing out information to someone I couldn't identify. Her reaction was quite amusing; she stated in a rather pleasant tone that she wouldn’t be continuing the conversation and would instead send me the information in writing. I simply replied that I would eagerly await her letter.
