That’s precisely how it was worded. I chose not to reply as they suggested, but in a moment of curiosity, I replied, "Who is this and how did you acquire my number?" Upon checking the number, I discovered it was linked to a relatively obscure country. I'm now left wondering if I’ve put myself in a bit of a predicament by responding. It strikes me as rather dodgy; could this be some sort of scam?
