They proposed to rectify the situation remotely, but I immediately recognised it as a dodgy scheme, especially as I don’t even use BT for my internet connection.

I got a call from 01439 339269, with someone saying they were from BT and that my IP address was out in the open, needing to help me sort it out. After a bit, I realised it was dodgy and ended the call. Then, they kept ringing me back one after another, using numbers like 01439 339269, 01406 436999 and 01433 440012 non-stop. Proper annoying.
