They kept asking if I'd gotten the cheque for some made-up accident claim. Are they pretending to be from a “no win no fee” law firm or something? I didn't stick around long enough to see if they wanted payment to send the cheque or tried to get my bank info. I guess if they trick just one person a week, it probably covers the cost of all the people making these calls.

Just got a phone call from some bloke with an Indian accent, saying I’d been in a car crash. When I told him I hadn’t, he switched it up and said one of my family was involved instead. I told him no one had, then called him out as a scammer and a joke. After that, he just hung up. Total waste of time.

So a number rang me yesterday afternoon, wanting details about a car crash I supposedly had. Thing is, I haven't been in any accident at all. I just played along and said I had one, and when they asked when it happened, I told them they must already know since they called about it. They caught on that I was winding them up and just hung up. Honestly, don't ever pick up calls from unknown numbers! It's so irritating and feels quite risky!

i got into a minor crash recently, no fault of mine at all. {all i wanted was to get my car fixed. the other driver’s insurance offered cash for repairs, but said it wasn’t worth fixing. so, i sorted the repairs myself and now all’s good. but then, solicitors started ringing me up saying that legally if you’ve had an accident going over 5 mph and repairs cost more than £500, you might be entitled to claim for any pain or discomfort you experienced.}

Got a call from a young woman trying to sell me something about a car crash I wasnt involved in. Sounds like a scam to me, so I just ended the call straight away. Don’t waste your time with it.
