I received a call today, 14th April 2016, and when I picked up, all I heard was someone guffawing in a rather silly manner. It was so ridiculous that I ended up hanging up the phone!

Sounds like a call centre to me? If you get a ring from this number and see this soon enough, try asking if they got your info from Sitel or Systems International Telemarketing. Don’t bother trying to trace them back and block or anything, it’s actually a tough gig, so fair play to them.

Tried calling about a ppi claim. As soon as I told them I never had pi, they just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from some call centre person who couldn’t make sense talking about PPI money; had no clue who I was, my address or anything useful and eventually they said I was just the next person on a list they’d bought from another (unnamed) firm that deals in selling your contact details for telemarketing and stuff.
