today i got this weird lot of calls and as soon as i picked up they all just hung up on me :/ quite confusing really!

I got a call from a woman who spoke in an American accent, saying she was from Amazon and talked about my account being charged £39.99 for a renewal. She said to press 1 if I didn’t want to keep the service. Since I’m a Prime member, I knew straight away that was nonsense, so I just hung up. I’m planning to get in touch with Amazon to let them know. It definitely seemed like a scam to me.
