9 yearsLast Thursday morning, 17th August 2017, I got a call from some folks claiming to be from BT Openreach. At first, there was silence, then a woman with an Asian accent came on the line. She told me they were reaching out because BT landlines had suffered a security breach and people’s accounts might've been hacked. She was quite pushy and defensive. After that, she passed me to a guy with a similar accent and attitude, who tried to get me to follow some steps to find error reports on my computer. I got really fed up with the whole thing and told them I’d handle any issues myself, also mentioning how these calls wind me and many others up.
