I received a call from someone claiming to represent our energy company, stating there was an issue with our meter readings. I immediately felt suspicious and informed them that I'd rather reach out to our provider myself, as I've dealt with these types of calls in the past. It's clearly a scam.

It seems that the so-called 'Smartest Energy' provider is putting on quite the performance, acting as if they're the top of the class but failing to share any details regarding invoices or account identifiers. Quite baffling behaviour, really! One would assume that transparency would be a given, yet here we are.

I've been inundated with calls supposedly from EON, which is rather concerning given that they had my address and details about my energy provider. However, the caller, with a pronounced Asian accent yet a distinctly British name, was unyielding, which set alarm bells ringing for me. It’s all too easy to be misled into thinking these calls are legitimate. I really think it’s high time that telecommunication firms implemented stricter measures to protect our information from misuse. Stay vigilant, folks!

**SCAM ALERT** I received a call from a chap claiming to be Kevin, supposedly representing SSE. He insisted that there was an outstanding invoice in my name, but when I requested the invoice number, he swiftly dodged the question and shifted the topic. What a waste of time! Absolute nonsense!

I received a call purporting to be from the SSE Metering division. When I inquired about my meter number, they provided an incorrect one. It seemed rather suspicious as they were trying to gather personal details based on info that’s readily available elsewhere. What struck me most was that all three representatives I spoke with had thick Indian accents. Quite odd, if you ask me!

01392 581925 I found myself in a bit of a muddle with my smart meter, which led me to think this call was on the up and up. However, as the conversation progressed and some queries began to feel a bit dodgy, I decided it was best to end the call.

I received no fewer than eight phone calls in a single day from a chap named Harry Brown, who insisted he was representing EON. He alleged that one of their technicians accidentally logged another individual's meter reading under our account. After checking with EON, it turns out it's all a scam. I’m baffled as to what they hope to gain from this dubious endeavour.

I received a call purporting to be from Smartest Energy. The caller was practically rushing me for details that he sought, even though I explained it wasn't convenient for me at the moment. His persistence was quite overwhelming, and I found his rapid-fire speech and the background clatter made it hard to follow what he was saying at times. All the signs pointed to this being a scam!

I received a call from someone claiming to be "Steven" with a thick Indian accent, supposedly representing EDF. The moment he opened his mouth, I knew straight away he wasn't affiliated with them, so I promptly hung up. Yet, he kept ringing back repeatedly—something no legitimate energy provider would ever do. Having dealt with numerous impersonators from energy companies in the past, I was able to spot this deceitful call as a scam without hesitation.

It appears the caller claimed to be from British Gas, alleging an error with our meter number on the invoices. This isn’t the first time I've had a similar encounter with this specific number. When I challenged the caller on their deceit and pointed out the real origin of their call, the line abruptly went silent. Quite the dodgy situation, if you ask me!

Received a call at our workplace from this number purporting to be EDF, alleging they were experiencing some technical difficulties. They provided an outdated postcode and tried to convince me that they supply power to our current premises as well. This is simply not the case!

Definitely a scam!

I had a rather peculiar encounter the other day; a chap with quite a pronounced accent was inquiring about references for our electricity supply, yet ironically, we’re not even connected to the grid! It left me scratching my head in disbelief!
