Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC trying to scam me. Never ever ring these fraudsters back! Make sure you report the number, the time they called, and any voicemail they leave to [email protected]. After that, just block the caller and get rid of the message straight away.

Got a recorded message pretending to be from "HM Customs and Excise" threatening legal action if you don’t ring them back. Completely obvious scam.

When I rang back, the bloke said he had nothing to do with HMRC, but he didn't seem bothered at all that his info is being used to pretend he's someone else. I told him he should probably inform the police about it.

I've been getting calls from this number along with a few others, all playing the same recorded message about legal trouble if you don't respond. It's really annoying. The way they say it is quite harsh and honestly, it’s pretty upsetting.
