Got a call just before midnight, but when I picked up, there was nothing but silence on the other end. Left me wondering who it was.

I received a text from someone called James Anderson claiming I owed taxes and might face court. It was really upsetting because any message that says it’s from HM Revenue & Customs makes you worry straight away, even if you’re sure you haven’t done anything dodgy. Tried calling the number they gave but it wouldn’t connect. After seeing other people here saying they got similar calls from a James Anderson, I’m pretty sure it’s just a scam.

Got a call from an unknown number around 12:18 pm, so I just let the answerphone pick it up.
