Being in Exeter, seeing that local area code pop up usually means it’s a mate or family ringing. So I wasn’t expecting some dodgy scammer to be behind it. The guy sounded like an Asian bloke with a call centre background, all nice and polite. He told me I was actually the first person that day to be polite, all because I’d just said hello. But as soon as he tried to ask me a couple of questions, I swiftly ended the call and blocked the number.

Does anyone actually pick up here? We got a message about a delivery but when we called back, nothing - no one answered.

its really worrying how they got hold of my name, my address and even my post code. when i told the woman that i’d be reporting her to the police she just hung up. seriously, someone needs to step in and stop these calls, especially since they target people who are more vulnerable.
