Got a call from someone with an Asian accent pretending to be from BT Openreach. They told me my router was acting up and that I was receiving unwanted files whenever I logged in. They said they’d let their IT team know about it, but then just cut the call off out of the blue. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Had a call from someone with a foreign accent saying they were with BT. They started asking about my broadband equipment and then wanted my passwords to "sort out some unusual activity". Kept them talking for a bit but never gave away any info. Feels like a scam if you actually tell them stuff.

This bloke called up saying he was Sam from BT Openreach, told me there was an issue with my internet. He claimed he could sort it out if I gave him my password. I told him I actually work for BT and was heading to the local exchange to check things out. He didn't like that at all and just hung up on me.

This lady claimed she was calling from BT, saying my internet wasn’t working properly and offered to fix it for free. She asked me to use my laptop, but I wasn’t really up for it and told her my husband had it at work. Then she said I could use my iPhone to sort it out by going into the app store. I told her I'd prefer my husband to handle it since he’s the account holder and I’m not good with tech stuff. That’s when she became a bit rude and tried to push me through it herself. I didn’t like how she was speaking to me, so I just ended the call.
