Around 9.40am on a June morning 2021, my phone rang. I answered with a simple hello, and after a couple of hellos back and forth, I decided to just hang up. The caller was a woman with an Asian accent.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT about my internet speed, but I just ended the call straight away.

Got a dodgy call from some bloke named John, sounded like he had an accent from overseas. He said he was from BT and that there was a fault with my broadband. He started asking about the blinking lights on my router. I told him straight away I don’t even have BT as my provider. Then he tried to convince me that all broadband companies run on the BT network. At that point, I wasn’t having any of it and just hung up on him. Complete scam if you ask me.
