I got a call from someone saying they were from Virgin, then switched to saying they were from Sky’s tech support. They told me there’d been some dodgy attempts to get into my internet. The problem was, their accents were really thick, maybe Indian, and I could barely understand them. They asked me to download an app on my iPad, but I wasn’t comfortable doing that without proof they were legit. As soon as I asked for some sort of verification, they just cut the call straight away. Definitely felt off to me.
